This CCI GamePoint 17 HMR load pairs a 20-grain jacketed soft point bullet with reliable rimfire priming and brass casing, generating a muzzle velocity of 2,375 fps and 250 ft-lb of muzzle energy, with a ballistic coefficient of 0.125 . It's built specifically for small game and varmint hunters, since the dimple-tip bullet mushrooms like a big game bullet instead of fragmenting like a varmint bullet, greatly reducing damage to edible meat and the hides of furbearing animals . That controlled expansion delivers maximum energy transfer while keeping the load accurate and powerful, minimizing meat and hide damage on harvested game. Each box contains 50 rounds of this .17 HMR ammunition, making it a solid choice for hunters who want dependable terminal performance without sacrificing pelt or meat quality. As with any rimfire load, it should only be fired in modern firearms in good condition that are chambered and marked for the .17 HMR cartridge.
