Designed for close-range pest control, the CCI 45 Auto Shotshell (part #3745) loads a .45 ACP case with a 120-grain payload of #9 shot for use in semi-automatic pistols chambered in that caliber. This Pest Control Shotshell has a muzzle velocity of 1100 fps. The load uses rigid plastic shot capsules that break on the rifling, along with a flexible base wad that prevents gas blow-by , and it's built around reliable CCI primers for consistent ignition. It's intended strictly for eliminating small, close-range nuisances like snakes and rodents rather than for self-defense use, and it should not be fired in revolvers or in firearms with ported barrels or ported recoil compensators . Each box holds 10 rounds, and the cartridge cases are marked NR and are not intended to be reloaded .
