Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph

Designed for hand loaders, archers, air gun shooters, and paintball enthusiasts who need reliable velocity data at the range, the Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph (720001) uses a high speed 48 MHz processor and an advanced data interface that allows each unit to be computer calibrated at the factory after assembly, resulting in accuracy of +/- .25% — tighter than many competing chronographs. Readings display in feet per second or meters per second on a large, easy-to-read LCD, and the unit measures velocity from 5 to 9,999 FPS . A standout feature is its smartphone integration: the included 15-foot audio jack cable connects to a free app that records data on the load and environmental conditions and auto-calculates average velocity, standard deviation, min, max, and velocity spread from shot strings , with results stored or exported through email for later reference. Extra-wide sunshades made of durable synthetic material help maintain reliable readings even in bright sunlight, and the housing includes a 1/4-20 threaded mount for tripod use and operates on a single 9V battery (not included) . The unit ships complete with its sunshades, audio jack cable, and a carry bag for easy transport to and from the range.
