Built around a 36-inch 1055 carbon steel blade with a needle point and double-edged design, Cold Steel's Cavalier Rapier prioritizes speed and control over the heft of classical rapier designs. The full-length guard assembly—combining a pierced shell, rings, quillons, and knuckle bow—delivers genuine hand protection during practice or display, while the wire-wrapped handle and counterbalanced pommel create a responsive, lively feel in use. At 44.25 inches overall, this is a tool-grade training or recreational blade rather than a museum piece, made from tempered steel and backed by Cold Steel's reputation for functional cutlery and bladed implements. The included hand-stitched leather sheath features reinforced steel fittings and an integral belt loop for safe storage and transport. A serious choice for historical fencing enthusiasts, martial artists, or collectors seeking an authentic intermediate rapier without collector-grade pricing.
