Built as an OverMolded grip with a hard internal skeleton that's chemically bonded to the rubber, the Hogue 48000 MonoGrip replaces factory wood or plastic stocks on Colt "D" frame revolvers with a one-piece rubber wraparound that softens felt recoil without hurting your ability to stay on target. MonoGrips are made by overmolding soft rubber over a hard inner skeleton, and because the rubber chemically bonds to that insert it provides an extremely durable grip that won't delaminate or come apart . The black finish uses a cobblestone-style stippling texture for a secure, non-slip hold, and the grip is fully cut away at the bottom so it won't interfere with a speedloader. It's built to fit post-1966 Colt Detective Special and Diamondback revolvers, along with other short "D" frame models including the Police Positive Special, Cobra, Agent, Viper, SF-VI, DS-II, Magnum Carry, and Lady Special . Before ordering, confirm your revolver has the newer short grip frame rather than the longer, rounded pre-1966 frame, since the two are not interchangeable.
