Hornady 17 HMR 17gr V-Max /50

Hornady's Varmint Express line pairs this .17 HMR load with the brand's proven 17-grain V-MAX bullet, giving hunters and rimfire shooters a purpose-built round for varmint and small-game work. This item, Mfg Item Num 83170, is a 17 HMR cartridge loaded with a 17-grain V-Max bullet, rated at 245 ft-lbs muzzle energy and 2550 fps muzzle velocity, with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .125, packed 50 rounds per box. The polymer-tipped V-MAX bullet is engineered to boost the round's aerodynamic profile for a flatter trajectory, while still delivering dramatic, rapid expansion on impact for quick, humane kills on prairie dogs, coyotes, foxes, and similar varmints. The flat trajectory of the 17 HMR makes it one of the most accurate long-range rimfire cartridges available, and the uniformity of the Hornady 17 HMR case rivals that of far more expensive match-grade ammunition. Cases are brass-built for reliable feeding and consistent performance shot after shot, making this a solid choice for anyone running a .17 HMR rifle who wants dependable accuracy out to typical varmint-hunting ranges. Each box contains 50 rounds, a convenient quantity for a range day or a hunting trip without committing to a full case.
