Hornady 45ACP 230gr XTP /20

Hornady's Custom line loads this .45 ACP +P cartridge with the proven XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) jacketed hollow point bullet, a 230-grain projectile purpose-built to expand reliably across a wide range of velocities while still withstanding incredible velocities and delivering controlled expansion and weight retention. At 950 fps muzzle velocity and 461 ft-lbs of muzzle energy , this +P loading gives shooters extra power over standard-pressure .45 ACP, and Hornady notes that the higher pressure increases energy and therefore increases penetration and expansion of the bullet . Each round is built on brass casing with a boxer primer, is non-corrosive, and is reloadable , and the cartridges are selected to meet high standards for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, and proper hardness, with powders loaded for optimal pressure, velocity, and lot-to-lot consistency . This box of 20 is suited to personal defense, target, and match use , and because it's a +P loading, it should only be fired in .45 ACP handguns and PCCs rated for +P pressures.
