Hornady 6.5x55 140gr SST SPF /20

Hornady's Superformance line loads the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser with a 140-grain SST (Super Shock Tip) bullet, packaged 20 rounds per box under item #85507. This load is built around Hornady's progressive Superformance propellants designed to increase rifle velocity up to 200 fps without added chamber pressure, recoil, muzzle blast, or loss of accuracy compared to conventional ammunition. The 140gr SST bullet delivers a rated muzzle velocity of 2735 ft/s and muzzle energy of 2325 ft-lbs , with a polymer tip designed to initiate rapid, controlled expansion on impact — making it a solid choice for medium to large game hunting. The bullet's sectional density is 0.287 with a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.52 , giving it a flat trajectory and good retained energy at extended ranges. As with all Superformance ammunition, buyers benefit from high-quality cases and primers, with consistent components that translate to consistent performance in the field. This load is chambered specifically for 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser rifles and is not interchangeable with other 6.5mm cartridges.
