Confirm your reloaded or factory-fresh ammunition is ready to chamber safely with this Lyman Large Rifle Ammo Checker, a multi-caliber "no-go" gauge sized for .243 Win, .270 Win, .30-30 Win, .308 Win, .30-06 Springfield, and .300 WSM. Machined from a solid block of 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and cut with custom tooling to SAAMI minimum chamber dimensions, then bright orange anodized to make it easy to find. Simply drop a loaded round into the corresponding hole— Drop loaded rounds in the ammo checker and if it fits the gauge, it will fit the gun's chamber. Each caliber station is clearly engraved on the gauge , so you can quickly move between calibers without resetting calipers or headspace gauges for every batch. It's a handy quality-control step for reloaders and anyone wanting extra confidence in factory ammo before it ever reaches the chamber.
