This Mec-Gar magazine is a direct replacement or spare for the Taurus PT92, PT99, and 917C full-size 9mm pistols, giving owners a reliable, factory-quality option beyond their stock magazines. It pairs a heat-treated carbon steel body with Mec-Gar's Anti-Friction Coating, a chrome silicon spring, a polymer follower, and a semi-flush +2 polymer floorplate that adds three rounds over factory capacity , bringing total capacity to 20 rounds of 9x19mm. The Anti-Friction Coating is the standout feature here — it reduces internal drag, resists corrosion, and keeps the magazine cycling smoothly even when dirty . Fit is straightforward, as it's a drop-in replacement for the full-size Taurus 9mm platform with no fitting required , and it's made in Italy by the same factory that supplies OEM magazines to many top pistol makers . It's a practical upgrade whether you're stocking spares for the range, competition, or home-defense use.
