Designed for handloaders building rounds for the .308 Marlin Express cartridge, this box of 100 Hornady FTX bullets (30396) pairs a 160-grain, .30 caliber projectile with Hornady's patented polymer Flex Tip technology. Upon impact, the soft tip compresses into the bullet, initiating immediate expansion across a wide range of velocities. The one-piece, high antimony lead core is mechanically locked to the copper jacket with an InterLock ring, and the bullet carries a sectional density of 0.241 and a ballistic coefficient of 0.395. A cannelure is included for secure crimping. Note that this bullet's cannelure is cut specifically for the .308 Marlin Express case and is deeper than what's typically used for .30-30 Winchester loads, so reloaders working with other .30-caliber lever-gun cartridges should confirm fit before loading.
