Hornady Shell Plate #16 is a precision-machined steel component designed for use with the Hornady Lock-N-Load AP progressive press, including both the newer EZ-Ject and older wire-ejector models, as well as the legacy Hornady Pro-Jector press. Each shell holder mouth on the plate has a subtle radius that helps ensure smooth, reliable functioning, and the retainer spring is designed to stay in place as cases are inserted. This #16 plate is set up for a range of small-caliber cartridges, including .17 Remington, .17 Remington Fireball, .221 Remington Fireball, .222 Remington, .222 Remington Magnum, .223 Remington, 5.6x50mm Magnum, 6mm TCU, 6x47mm Remington, 6.5mm TCU, 7mm TCU, 7mm-223 Ingram, 7x47mm Helm, and .380 Auto, and it's intended to be used alongside Hornady shell holder #390556. As with other Hornady shell plates, a single plate will also accommodate additional calibers that share the same case head dimensions as those listed, so it's worth double-checking your specific cartridge's case head diameter against the fitment list before ordering.
